Artist's Comments

I still had the big marilyn stencil and only used it on the trash can. I had a canvas that was smaller then the stencil, but still was big enough to capture it all.. had a liitle underspray, I am not use to stencil this big..

This is very nice, I like that you have the spray can in the photo.
:iconpaulieslim:
right on thanks, it gives an idea to the size.

Montana Gold paint/Katsup is the color.

very cool...i would like to get an overhead projector to do larger projects, the only other way i can figure is by manually separating the image on the computer and printing out like 6 or 8 seperate pieces. would you reveal your secret?
:iconpaulieslim:
I just used Adobe Acrobat (full version) to print the image (+230%) onto seperate sheets. It really does a good job. It converts parts of the image to rastor format and keep other parts vector. End result is you can enlarge the hell out of images with not much loss.

You can download a program called rastorbator, though I think its not nearly as good...

I have a stencil thats over 70 inches tall that I plan on cutting out..

oooohhhhh. ok, thanks.
happy stenciling!

I'm jealous you got to do one this big! i'm planning on some big projects, but might just go to a copy shop and get b&w enlargements done there. I did a large Blondie and Grace Jones back in the day but used an O.H.P. Gosh, those were the days.
Can't wait to see that 70" one!
